\J	We intend to make you an offer of a two year research associateship.
I will explore the possibility of making it a senior research associateship
or even an Adjunct Professorship (a new rank for soft money senior research
people).  The salary will be about $21,000 per year for 12 months.  This is
under the assumption that your scientific interests are still mainly MTC and
that you will also supervise PhD students in that area.

	I still have to circulate your name among the faculty but expect
no problem since they know you and Floyd is for it.
